England Vs West Indies, Day 1, Third Investec Test at Edgbaston, Birmingham - Update

Surrey Wicket Keeper Steven Davies has been asked to join the England Squad for the Third Investec Test at Edgbaston following an eye infection to Matt Prior.

West Indies may have lost yet another Test series against a higher ranked team. However, they still have something to play for going into the final Test. They will be keen to avoid a whitewash. It will be a tough job for sure, but they can look at some real positives going into the Edgbaston Test -- some created by themselves and the other thanks to the opposition.

West Indies had a poor warm-up at Grace Road in Leicester because of rain on both the days. The visitors got just the 50 overs of cricket on Day 1 in which they got 150/3. There was no play at all on Day 2 as the match was drawn with the hosts Leicestershire not even getting the opportunity to bat.

England have named a 12-man squad for the Third and Final Investec Test against West Indies at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Fast bowler James Anderson has been omitted from the squad to take rest.
